Cancers that affect the female reproductive system are termed as ‘gynecological cancers’. They occur as a result of abnormal cell growth. There are different types of gynecological cancers. Each of them are named according to the organ/part of the body in which they occur. They may occur in the uterus, ovary, vagina, and vulva . Some of the common types of gynecological cancers are:
